Home assignment for Friday (8ab)

1) Reteling (sample:) This text is devoted to one of the main social problems. I mean people’s indifference.
The elderly and the homeless feel marginalized.
To find out what it’s really like to be in someone else’s shoes, two reporters went undercover, Tracey as an 80-year-old and Sam as a homeless person. The results were eye-opening.
People didn’t want to talk to a chatty senior citizen and couldn’t wait to get rid of her. Tracy felt incredibly embarrassed, as if she was invisible and unwanted by the society.
Sam says people avoided looking at him and angrily asked him to leave public places. He found out that people ended up on the streets because of terrible debts or family break-ups. The homeless can’t get off the streets because they have no official identity. Also, you can’t be employed without an address and ID.
Both the elderly and the homeless need our help but not accusation (judgement). We mustn’t be indifferent!

4 классы: 2 тетради в клетку 18 листов для домашних и классных работ + словарь.
8-9 классы: общая тетрадь в клетку для классных/домашних работ, Grammar&Vocabulary, тетрадь для самостоятельных работ.
